Hello once again! Glad you could make it back. (And if you’re new here welcome, and please feel free to look around) I can hardly believe it’s been a month since I started this site. A lot has happened in the last few weeks since I took the leap to launch this site, so much so, that I feel bad I haven’t given this site the care and attention I feel it deserves. *insert sad face emoji* But check out my new logo! I’m so in love with it! Be prepared to start seeing it everywhere!
So, what has been keeping me so busy you may ask? Well let me give you a rundown of where things are sitting. With something exciting I will mention at the end, so please keep reading! (If you are looking for a full list of all the projects I have on the go checkout my post ‘All In A Days Work’)
One thing I will mention is that to said full list above, I did forget to mention that I also wrote a picture book, I have the story line written out, I just need to work on some drawings for it, but just haven’t been able to think of a ‘style’ I like yet.
Shadow Clave is now out being queried. Surprisingly I received a rejection after only 4 hours of it being out. We will see how the other agents react. (Your loss Mr. Agent, haha)
Rules of a Tyrant is now sitting at around 62,000 words. Not nearly as far as I would have liked, but I did get stuck on a part that wasn’t working out. I am past that hurdle and am full steam ahead now, but this will push back my other works, unfortunately.
I have had several people read my short story ‘To Save A King” and have given glorious reviews, with requests for me to write the rest of the series. Now I am debating writing out that series (I plotted out several following novels) and have been heavily debating self-publishing it. Doing this would conflict with my other plans though of writing the psychological horror that popped into my head; I have been researching for it very heavily and still itch to write it. So my dilemma is: Write the horror novel that’s been plaguing me and get it out of my system, or dive back into my other world, of dragons and vampires and a very determined young princess? (Note that I feel equally passionate about both these projects, hence why I haven’t figured out which direction to go!)
Now to the BIG thing… The skits I was asked to write. A couple of them have been accepted and the guys are planning to record them soon! These skits are going to be short YouTube videos, played out as a series, centering around a fairly new hobby of mine: Mead. These guys know their shit when it comes to this superior drink, and they teach you all about the process and techniques of making mead, they do it in a comedic way, making it fun to watch what antics they come up with. I will post a link to their channel, they are just starting out so you should definitely like and subscribe to see how far these guys go, you’ll learn to make a delicious drink and get some great laughs. As an example: These skits I was asked to write, they asked for them to be styled like Mel Brooks movies or Monty Python. Which brought back many fond memories of these hilarious movies. So after some great movie watching to refresh my memory on some things (sometimes research can be so tough, hey?), I got cracking. They have also mentioned possibly writing more skits separate from this series, but we will wait to see how the series go. Like I said, definitely go like and Subscribe so you don’t miss it!
So I have been VERY busy focusing on these skits and lots of communication back and forth to get a feel for these men. I feel they are going to go very far with this and we have also been discussing future projects but I will wait to mention what these things are until we all have a clear vision of what they could lead to. So this has eaten up a lot of my time, but I definitely feel like it will be worth it in the end. Here’s is the link to their first video, please note that the giveaway in this video is over, but I’m sure they will come out with many more!
I really hope you listened and followed these guys, not only to learn about homebrewing, but also to see the skits I have written (Once they all get recorded!) and please follow me as there are many big plans for in the near future! Stay tuned!
